Novus
This modular unit stands for a whole new concept
in the office environment. In this unit Powerlogic and Novus have
combined functionality with design.
Functionality:
Novus is one of the smallest units on the market
for power and data. It offers the possibility to have 2 Power
outlets and 2 Data outlets in one unit. The power outlets can
be supplied with any socket of the world and a choice of Non Switched,
Master Switched or Individualy Fused. Because the system is modular,
Novus is very versatile. It is possible to have Novus and order
the Minimodule power units when needed. This makes switches between
countries and retro fits very easy. If data is desired one can
simply take out the break-away plate in the data position, after
which the data cartridge can be clicked into position. Because
the data cartridge is also provided with break-away plates there
is a choice of one or 2 data. The data cartridge is fitted with
backplates allowing direct connection through a RJ45 jack of any
type, Panduit, Avaya/Lucent, IBM, Nordex, Keystone etc. and even
the possibility of hardwiring directly from the comms room. The
design allows for use of CAT5, CAT6 and CAT7. Novus is mounted
to the desk by a quick clamping system which allows easy-on and
easy-off fitting on desktops of 0 to 45mm, providing a strong
fixation to the desk without any screwing, drilling or cutting.
Design:
The unique design gives Novus it’s character.
Starting with the front face which is specially rounded to be
in line with the Minimodule power unit. We have also designed
the data cartridge in the same shape to create a serene uniform
look. The back of the unit is designed especially to hide the
cables so they can go directly into a cable tray or raceway. On
the side we have chosen to create an edge that covers and protects
the cables, so no cables will be seen from the side. With these
features, there are no more cables visible from any side of the
unit. Viewing from the side and the back it is clear that the
top has been made at a 45 degrees angle, this gives the unit an
even smaller look without the normal box like shape generally
found on the market. |
